Waxing and Waning.

Today our friends were very excited to get their hands on the soft glittery playdough we made yesterday. Sara says the playdough is like the "Stars at night."
Tzemach cuts the mango into large pieces. This activity helps strengthen his fine motor skills and builds this life skill that he can take back with him to Texas! :)
Peretz glues sparkly materials onto a dark blue paper, creating a galaxy.

Some friends discovered a bird's nest during water play. It was pretty amazing to see how the bird used different sorts of twigs and leaves to create it.
We looked back at our diagram of the phases of the moon. Some new vocabulary learned: Waxing and Waning. We did a music and movement on the rug with a slow moon song. We moved our hands from a full moon to form a crescent and then back, demonstrating waxing and waning.
Chayala draws her moon as a crescent.
