Our families

One of today's provocations was a set of Russian dolls.
"This is my family, my Mommy, my Tatty, Mendel...." said Chana.

"The Mommy has babies in her tummy", said Devorah.

Chana put her family in a house.

Mayer was thinking about his family.  He had a Mommy,  "I need a daddy" he said.

Levi arranged a family.

"This is your family" he said to his friends.

Mayer set up his family.

Today we made slime.

At first it was very gooey, but once it mixed, the children loved the soft texture.

It stretched.

Levy made 4 lines to braid a Challah.

Letter fun:
The children played match ups, to find the letters of their name.

Nevin wanted to paint a steam train.

Mayer loved seeing the tire marks of the cars.

Levi made a person with his snack.  Notice the legs.

Self Portrait with Loose Parts

Today the children made self portraits using loose parts.
We did it as a class around the table all together.
The children discussed what they were doing.
"This is me," said Devorah

"I'm making my Mummy and my Daddy," said Mayer

More fun from today:
Chana painted herself.

Nevin made a birthday cake with 4 candles.

I brought some pinecones into the kitchen.

Chana and Ido were curios what was inside.

Friends holding hands.

We measured Ido today.

Shabbat Vibes

Nevin made a birthday card for his little sister Danika, who turned 2 today.
Morah drew a train.

Levi helped cut it out.

Nevin was so excited to give it to his sister!

The children had a lovely time at Shabbat live.

L'chaim!

Chana and Devorah colored leaves for their Shabbat bags.

Making Challah!

Chana made a nest and Levi found a feather.  They discussed their plans of using the feather in the nest for the birds and squirrels, as well as giving them water.

Devorah blessed the Challah.

Shabbat Shalom!
