Bee Fun

Sender makes a bee out of Model Magic 

Henny pretends she is getting stung from the bee.

"Honey comb" says Ella, when she sees the bees wax candles.

The children are reading our new bee vocabulary.

Hannah is our counting helper today.

Sender and Mendel made honey comb.

Playing all together.

Marnie and Mendel made pizza at the playdough table.

"We have the best camping ever" said Kayle

Kayle is rubbing the sticks together to make a fire.

Henny adds an orange scarf as flames.

Today when talking about the Lag Baomer Bonfire in Meron, Sender said, "It's like when we burn the Chometz"

Peek into our Friday

So much fun at Shabbat Live... 

the children made flowers,

by wrapping a pipe cleaner around a stick,

and adding petals.  

The children noticed some new felt board pieces... 

...all about bees...

"Bees sting", said Kayle

"What do bees do?" asked Sender.

We are excited to learn more about bees next week.

Henny matches the letters to the spring words.

We noticed our plant has leaves and roots!

Ella is our counting helper today.

Hannah and Marnie rode the bicycle together.  Great sharing!

We wrote shopping lists for Shabbat.

Children came up with great shopping ideas.

Happy Birthday Kayle

Today was a birthday day!  It was Kayle's birthday celebration!

The children prepared water color art in honor of Kayle's birthday.

Kayle traced a four for her crown, and added four buttons.

Kayle told us all the things she can do now that she is 4:

- walk

- run

- sit

- put the plates and cups away

- ride a bicycle

- help make dinner

- help mommy make lunch

We danced in a circle.

And played 'hot and cold', for Kayle to find her birthday present.

We looked at everybody's beautiful art.

After lunch, Kayle gave out delicious birthday treats!

More fun from today:

"It's growing!" Marnie exclaimed when she saw her sprout today.

Kayle traced leaves on the light table.

Henny looked through our seed books and notices the different types of seeds.

Still Life Painting

Today the children painted a branch of flowers.

Kayle: "I'm making a happy face for spring because you be happy because it's Spring."

Sender:  "I'm making dots because there's lots of them.  When I come back from school i always see pink flowers."

Sender: "All of them are growing leaves."

We noticed our plants grew over the weekend!

We spray our plants to keep them moist.

We also noticed our beans sprouted!

We played a sequencing game to understand the growth pattern of a sprout.

We noticed the red line on our thermometer was high above 80. 

We remembered when it was freezing and how low it was.

Marnie did a great job counting the 'Sefirat Haomer' beads today.
