Sara and Jacob maneuver the container to get the little yellow balls ("sun") and paint to roll and create interesting and unexpected designs!
Water slide fun!
Making cookie dough.
Shaping the cookies into stars!
Helping hang our towels and bathing suits to dry.
We stand far away from the wall with the paper stars. Morah Mushka shows the friends a star up close and asks if the stars on the wall or the star she is holding is bigger. The children all agree that the ones far away on the wall are tiny! We talked about how the stars up in the sky are truly very big, but we are so far away that they look so small. Sara explained, "Because we are far away. Sometimes that happens when its far away." (Just like an airplane in the sky!) The Sun is also a star, but is much closer to earth so it looks bigger than other stars!
Going in our spaceships! 987654321 blastoff!
We read a book all about the galaxy and find out some interesting information. We learned that stars are made of gasses. Peretz said, "Just like the car has gas."
