Enjoying a Sunny day!

Another great day today!
Sara holds the knife steady as she cuts the cantaloupe into uniform slices.
We practice rolling the cookie dough into balls using the palms of our hands. We notice some are bigger than others, and we see it is the same way after they are baked as well.

Sara and Jacob play Zingo. They scan their boards to see if they have the matching picture with the one that pops up. Jacob thought it was funny when two trees popped up from the box!
We learned the word "Funnel". Peretz noticed how easily and efficiently the funnel helped him transfer the sand into the cup.
Sara stands back to see how she wrote her name. She was clearly happy with it, as she smiled and moved onto the next center.
Fun in the Sun! Today our friends used the squirters again and again as they practiced the technique of getting the water to the exact spot they were aiming at.

Enjoying the new summer books! The friends are reading the eye spy book, trying to figure out which animals are in front of them based on some visual and audio clues in the book.
Each friend had a chance to help make the icing for the black and white cookies.
We concentrated well in order to spread it on the cookie using a plastic knife.

Jacob was very excited about the chocolate flavor!!
We needed the help of all of our friends to get the icing to the right consistency for spreading it. At first the white icing was too thick and therefore hard to spread. We realized we needed to add more water. Then Peretz pointed out that the chocolate could use some more water too.
All smiles as we ate our treats. Jacob told us that he would share his with Alec. Sara commented that she has these cookies when she goes to Shul. Peretz added, "In the store they have dark and light cookies too."
As we connected the cookies back to dark and light, Sara explained: "Hashem made people too. Even me. I came out of my Mommy's tummy."
Peretz and Sara follow the visual directions in this drawing book in order to depict many different animals and creatures.
 Sara drew an octopus.
Peretz proudly shows us his peacock. It feels good to work on something and complete it!
 Socializing during lunch.
Jacob and Peretz take a nature walk to collect objects they want to use to make a Mitzvah Tree. Please feel free to send in notes about Mitzvot/good deeds your child has done at home! It is so special to get to share it with our friends and Morahs!
