Amazing Artists!

Today we had a look at some art and artists.
Hannah showed us a painting that her Mommy painted.  We thought she was a good artist.

We also talked about a famous artist called, Kandinsky.  He was from Russia, and he loved colors!
We saw this painting of his.  The children noticed so many things about it.
First all the colors:  Red, purple, blue, yellow.
Then the shapes: Circles and squares.
Then we asked how it feels:  Exciting, sleepy, happy.
We also noticed, the different sized circles.  Some big, some small.

We looked at some squares the children cut out last week, and tried to make a pile from biggest to smallest.

The children wanted to make more piles...so we got to work!

Tracing and cutting...

It was a lot of work!

We practiced cutting squares, by pretending our feet were scissors, and going around the rug.

Kayle says, "I missed you Ella," when she saw her this morning.

Thank you to the Minkowitz family for bring yummy fruit this week!
