Apple Tasting

Today we experienced different types of apples:  Ginger Gold, Red Delicious and Fuji!
We introduced each by name and then talked about their color.

Then Morah painted each one.

The children tasted each apple and decided if they like it or not.

"These apples are good" commented Mendel.

After tasting all 3, Morah asked the children which one was their favorite.
The children chose one or two of their favorites.

We counted the apples and saw that the Fuji Apple was the most popular.

This activity brings together sensory perception with mathematical concepts.

More fun from today:
Today the children looked in the mirror and drew a picture of themselves.

Marnie notices her features in the mirror.

Netanel and Hannah play with the trains.

Sender and Mendel help tidy up the rice.

Today I introduced our calendar and weather chart.
We sing a song about the day of the week.
Every day the weather reporter looks out the window and tells us what the weather is.
Henny remembers that it was rainy yesterday.
Sender is our weather reported today.  "It's sunny" he tells the class.

We are so grateful for the sunny day Hashem gave us today.
Marnie climbs.

Hannah is so excited to see Dalia outside.
