Art with Morah Yael

Today we had an art class with Morah Yael.

She showed us different materials, sorted by the way it feels:  hard, soft, smooth + rough.

The children had a feel of the different materials.

They felt the soft feather on their faces.
"It is not hard," says Ella
"It is soft," says Marnie

The children chose a few items that make them feel happy to paste to their page.

We will be continuing this process, sorting materials and creating feeling representation with color, shape and texture.
Please send in more stuff/junk/materials!
Thank you Morah Yael for the interesting and fun experience.

More from today:
The children showed a strong interest in yarn.
We brought it out today, together with sticks.

Hannah wraps the yellow yard around the stick.

Mendel finds two white strings.
"Which one is longer?" he asks.
Morah holds them at the top, and Mendel is able to discern the longer string.

Letter writing practice.

Mendel is the weather helper today.
He counts 2 days until Shabbat.
