Making Predictions - Higher Order Thinking

Fall Fun!
Today the Yeladim enjoyed the sensory experience of scooping the seeds out of the pumpkin.

The children used Q-tips in a pincer grasp hold (exercising a pre-writing skill) to make replicate the beautiful scenery outside that they have been noticing - leaves falling from the trees.

Sara and Hilary looked outside the window to see the color of the leaves on the tree.

Sara took her name and copied the first letter of her name 'S' and wrote it down on her paper.
Thank you Hilary and her family for being our Fruit Family this week!
We took a walk out side to collect some leaves. The kids were excited to find big leaves and the colorful ones.

The Yeladim were asked, "how do you think that the leaves got to the ground?" Peretz said "because of the wind".Chayla & Elet said "Because it's winter!
Making Predictions: The Yeladim made predictions about how long it would take for the leaves to fall to the ground.
Elet: it takes 5 minutes
Sara: it takes 13 min.
When Hilary and Mendel drop the leaves it took .76 seconds to fall.
Peretz predicted that it's going to take longer for the leaves to fall when the Morahs drop it because they are taller. And it did! When Morah Debra dropped it, it took 1.83 seconds to hit the ground!
