Ophir Day!

Today we learned about the letters in our names again but this time in Hebrew!

Before our Hebrew lesson, Ophir was proud to show us this play-doh S!
Ophir: It is the letter for Shmuli!

Today was Ophir Day!  Morah Oshrit taught the children how to spell his name in Hebrew!  The children loved the lesson.  They all listened so carefully to see what they could understand because the lesson was all in Hebrew!!  Morah Oshrit translated some words for us!  The Ivrit B'Ivrit lesson  was a hit, thanks to Morah Oshrit!!

We saw where all our names fit into the Alef Bet!  Zalman will not be last this time!
We even counted the letters in Hebrew! Chamesh Otiyot (5 letters) in Ophir's name!
Zalman recognized and found the Alef!

Binyamin found the Vav!

Ronny found the Phey!

Bella found the Yud.  Some of the children even recognize the Yud and the sound it makes.
Zalman said to Ayelet:  Ayelet doesn't your brother Yakir start with Yud?
