Through out the day we noticed how much we as Jewish people are given so many opportunities to acknowledge our appreciation to G-d.
At Tefillah circle we sang 'Modeh Ani' - Thank you G-d for waking us up this morning.
At snack we made a 'Bracha/Blessing' before we ate and drank - acknowledging our food is from G-d.
The 'Thank you' Mitzvah notes reinforced the message.
At the writing center, the papers set out had the word 'Todah' written on them in Hebrew.
When we stop to think about all the small and big things we are appreciative of we feel overwhelmed by the good we have in our lives and would like to share the good with others.
In preparation for Thanksgiving, we will be donating toys and clothing to others that are not as fortunate as us. We discussed it at our meeting time and the Yeladim decorated a special box to put all of our donations in. Please send in with your child (can be gently used) a toy or article of clothing to put in our special box to be donated.
Thank you and looking forward to hear and document children's thoughts and reactions to our Thanksgiving gift of giving to others.
