Esther's Feelings

Today we welcomed our 'Feeling Set' into our room.
From L to R: Mad, Surprised, Happy, Afraid and Sad.

We wondered why each was feeling their feeling.
Mad:  Someone took his car
Surprised:  She got a new present
Happy:  Is playing and sharing with friends
Afraid:  of monsters in the dark
Sad:  someone pinched him.

All feelings are important.
The children are invited to hold a feeling when they are sad/mad to see if it matches.

We used them when telling the Purim story:
When Vashti looked in the mirror and saw so many pimples, we thought she may be feeling afraid, sad and mad.
She said, she is not able to come to the king.

When Esther heard that the King is looking for girls to be his queen she was afraid.
She didn't want to go to the palace, she wanted to stay with Mordechai whom she loved.

When the kings gaurd found her, Mordechai told her not to worry because Hashem is with her and she will be safe.

More fun from today:
Ido made a waterfall.

Levi made a Hamantash.

Nevin made many Hamantashen!

Uniquely styled.

Mayer helped wash the gems in warm soapy water.

Chana and Levi played with a new patterning activity.
Chana made them in rows by color.

Levi covered the board.
