A Visit to a Vegetable Garden

Today we discussed the miracle Carob tree and stream of water Hashem made grow near the cave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai while he learned Torah there. Interestingly enough carob fruit is high in protein and is twice the amount of calcium than milk! (among many other nutrients)
Below the Yeladim are writing 'carob tree.'

We read a story about how Lag B'omer is celebrated in Israel and in Meron - the resting place of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.
Since it is already Lag B'omer in Israel the Yelaim got to see Ronny celebrating already! That was so exciting for the Yeladim and brought all our learning to a whole new level!

We were invited to visit a vegetable garden! Mrs. Foont explained what each plant was going to yield soon. We are looking forward to our very own Parsley & Basil in our classroom!

The Yeladim enjoyed climbing on her play structure as well!
