Today we lit the very first candle together.
We had a helper candle.
We noticed the candles got smaller after snack.
When we came back from outdoor play...the candles were gone!
We will light them again tomorrow!
More fun from today:
Ido showed us what fruit he brought for fruit family.
Levi painted a dreidel.
Chana enjoyed the smooth feel of shaving cream.
Nevin counted out the correct number of Chanukah gelt for each jar.
The children rolled out playdough candles.
Nevin spelled out his name.
We spoke about the story of Chanukah.
Everyone got a chance to help tell the story.
Here Ido helped the Greek Soldier put an idol in the Bait Hamikdash.
Here, Devorah helped the Greek make a mess in the Bait Hamikdash.
Here Chana acted as the Greek soldier, asking the children if they are learning Torah.
Nevin answered for them saying, "No, we are playing Dreidel!"
The children are great actors!
